Built on experience, integrity, and results
We're Matt and Rebekah Copeland, the real estate investors and operators behind Bright Door Capital and Bright Door Hosting. We started investing in 2019 after years of helping other companies grow, and realized it was time to build something of our own.
Rehabbed dozens of properties, some sold, many kept in our portfolio
Built a strong track record in furnished mid-term rentals (MTRs)
Managed acquisition, renovation, and stabilization of single-family and small multifamily rentals
Expanded into converting larger multifamily properties into MTR-driven assets
Grown Bright Door Hosting to 25 managed properties valued at over $6M
Our Story
Two hardworking families, one shared belief.
We both grew up in hardworking, middle-class families and were the first in our households to earn advanced degrees. That background shaped our drive, our work ethic, and our shared belief that anyone can build wealth with the right support.
Matt's Background
Over 20 years helping grow a company from $22M to $100M+ in annual revenue scaling operations, building teams, and driving growth.
Rebekah's Background
An MBA and career in hospitality, opening major convention centers and leading high-volume hotel sales across a dozen-plus properties.
How We Got Here
A decade of building, one door at a time.
2019 - We began investing
Our first steps into real estate investing, learning the business from the ground up.
2020 - Aggressive acquisition
Matt purchased eight properties in a single year while Rebekah became a licensed agent to support our acquisitions.
2021 - Rehab, flip, and rent
We kept a rental for nearly every property we sold. Friends began asking us to manage their rentals the start of Bright Door Hosting.
2024 - Rebekah earns her broker's license
Deepening our expertise and expanding what we could offer investors and clients alike.
2025 - Capital raising accelerates
Investors gravitated toward our trustworthy, hands-on approach — and Bright Door Capital was born.
